As We Release, We Rise: Cold Moon Reflections
“Healing isn’t something we do. It’s something we return to.” ~ Patricia June Vickers
Every Full & New Moon we tend to our inner garden to allow space for our soul to be nurtured.
The Wildflowers allowed the energy of the Cold Moon to support them in rewriting the story of their lives through clearing away the narratives that were ready to be released. We witnessed the similar weeds we each carry, reminding us that we are not alone.
They ranged from:
Staying quiet & not expressing our truth
Rescuing/fixing others rather than rescuing ourselves — becoming the one who fixes everything for everyone through self-sacrifice
Allowing societal expectations to keep us in a self-made prison
Expecting ourselves to be good at something immediately, even when it’s new
Believing others know what is best for us — trusting their truth over our own
“Shoulding” on ourselves
Letting fear keep us in what is safe and known
We spent time reflecting on childhood themes still shaping our lives, and journaling allowed us to touch the edges of these stories, harvesting the wisdom so we can choose differently. We remembered that we have response-ability — the ability to choose how we respond in each moment.
We partnered up to share and witness each other’s soul work, then stepped out onto the land to spread milkweed seeds, each one representing a narrative being released and rewritten.
We witnessed each Wildflower into wholeness — and then we sang together, returning to the village we are rebuilding.
We’ll continue our journey inward to rewrite our stories with our New Moon in Sagittarius next week — an invitation to allow all of you to be witnessed.

May The Promise poem below remind you of wisdom you carry reflected by Grandmother Moon.
From my wild heart to yours, may we keep rising, rooted in love.
The Promise, by Bayla Greenspoon
Oh, sweet Moon, symbol of resilience!
You remind me to trust.
No matter how many times my heart breaks
I will repair.
No matter the disappointments
I will revive.
No matter the outrageous act of destruction
And devastation and hatred
I will grow bigger and brighter
Until my brilliant light illuminates
The path to
Healing.
Redemption.
Caring.
Truth.
Compassion.
The dark is here…
But the light will return.
It cannot be stopped.
