Reflection: Living Wide Open - Aries Full Moon Circle
"Trauma isn't what happened to us.
Trauma is the community we did not have when it happened." ~unknown
We gathered in the new community Nest under the Aries Super Full Moon to move beyond the masks we've worn - the ones that once kept us safe and small - and to step toward a life of living wide open.
So many of us did not have the space, support or love to fully meet our whole selves in all of our emotions. Over time, this absence feeds our shame & sense of not belonging. To cope, we learn to move through life unseen & unheard, pushing down who we truly are.
Where We Still Wear Masks
With family, long-time friends, or at work, we often hide behind:
Perfectionism or pretending we’re okay/fine
Accommodating others
Suppressing shame, anger, rage, sadness, anxiety, or doubt
People-pleasing to keep peace or make others happy
Overfunctioning or explaining ourselves to feel enough
Not expressing our preferences
Making excuses or minimizing others behaviors
A Sacred Question
What if we were made for MORE than enough?
Are you willing to live your life wide open - to allow Great Mystery to stretch you beyond what you think is possible or can even imagine?
In Circle
We reflected on the masks we wear, and how we blend in or pretend in life to try to belong - so that we could reclaim more of our truth.
We used our voices to express what's real and asked for the support we may not have received before.
Each of us took a piece of fabric to represent our masks & wrote down what we were ready to burn away - creating space for our authentic selves to rise from the ashes.
One by one, we gave our truth voice & watched the fire transform them, walking through the veil into the life & truth we desire to live.
In Community, We Heal
In community, we heal generations & ourselves.
Through ritual, we realign our soul & energy field, returning to our lives changed -
more rooted, more awake, and more free.
And if you are seeking community, gather with the Wildflowers.
Together we practice being the truest, most beautiful, and unique expressions of life — medicine so needed in this ever-changing world.
May we live our lives wide open as we tend our inner gardens with love.
