Trusting the Wisdom of Your Voice - Gemini New Moon Reflection
"I died a hundred times to become this version of me.
So yes, I protect her. Becoming her wasn't free."
~Wild Woman Sisterhood
With the airy support of the Gemini New Moon, we completed an eight-year cycle of discovering who we are, learning to trust ourselves, and taking up space as we stand in our truth.
Together, we spoke, moved, and breathed life into what wants to be lived and dreamed through us. I am deeply grateful for the nest the wildflowers help make on the land —a space where we can feel held as we practice trusting our voices.
Together, we explored where we still hesitate to trust ourselves and our voice.
Many of us discovered that our greatest challenges arise with the people who have known us the longest. Family members or friends may not be capable of holding our truth, so we soften it. We put frosting on it. We make it more palatable.
Others shared fears around singing, speaking publicly, or unintentionally outsourcing trust in their own wisdom to professionals and authority figures.
And some of us are still discerning where it feels safe to fully use our voice, finding ourselves swallowing words that long to be spoken.
Are you willing to be messy and awkward as you learn to use your voice?
Our embodiment practice invited us to gather information in a different way. By engaging the wisdom of our skin—our largest sensory organ—we explored what it feels like to sense our environment beyond our eyes and access information from all around us.
For some, this felt expansive and playful. For others, moving through space without relying on sight brought discomfort and vulnerability.
We also experimented with mirroring another wildflower's walk, noticing how much we can sense about another person's experience through their body. My partner reflected back aspects of my walk that revealed adaptations I have carried my entire life—patterns developed to keep me safe. Seeing them through another's eyes offered me greater compassion and grace for my body's wisdom.
Our ritual brought us back to the heart of the evening: breathing life into our dreams.
One by one, each wildflower spoke their intention aloud and then used the breath within their body to blow bubbles into the visions, dreams, and ways of being they are stepping into.
It was a beautiful reminder that our voice and our breath are creative forces.
As we approach the Summer Solstice, we are invited to honor our fullness. The longest day of the year arrives as a living reminder that we, too, are meant to shine brightly and embody our fullest expression.
How is life inviting you to step more fully into your truth, your voice, and your radiance this Solstice season?
I'd love to hear what is unfolding for you.
