Reflection: Reclaiming Our Wild & Precious Life Under the Aquarius New Moon & Eclipse
Did you know that children learn more easily than adults because they aren’t worried about how they look or sound? What might shift if we welcomed more of that playful, curious energy into our lives?
In circle, we invited that childlike essence to help us embody our full sacred selves. As Hifaz reminded us, “Now is the time to know that all that you do is sacred.”
Each of us wildflowers named, in our own way, that we are done carrying invisible labor for others and are practicing allowing those in our lives to take responsibility for themselves. Many of us have been having potent dreams — I even experienced one about circle come true last week.
As the old patriarchal structures crumble and cling for dear life, we are being invited to reclaim our power in the Divine Masculine, especially with the caregiver in our lives that embodied more of a father role. We are remembering that we can be the love-filled healing balm for past, present, and future — and that we may need to release what no longer serves us in order to ride the Fire Horse forward.
To move this energy, we practiced womb work through breath and imagination, remembering that movement is fresh blood — it is life force. We cannot heal what we do not acknowledge. Through our breath, we washed these tender places in our bodies with presence and compassion.
We reflected on what might still be repressed and longing to be acknowledged as shame grows in the dark. The more we try to suppress it, the more closed we become to what we desire to receive. So much of our shame was born from not being loved the way we needed during our developmental years.
We allowed the Aquarian water bearer to cleanse and anoint us in devotion to our dreams. We asked ourselves what we want to do or be with “this one wild and precious life” we’ve been given — and then invited the fire to ignite those dreams.
Together, being “with-nessed,” we practiced embodying freedom — because we belong to ourselves. When we allow ourselves to be witnessed in our full humanity, including our shame, we expand our capacity to witness ourselves in everyday life.
We need spaces like this. Spaces where we can unearth power from past trauma that once had no community around it.
