Reflection: Weaving Harmony Full Moon Circle Medicine
Take a moment to connect to yourself, your power and breath, as you breathe in, ask show me where I trust myself & breathe out surrendering into being shown. Follow this for a few breaths to open you to receive the medicine that came through our Full Moon circle last week.
Each of us had different versions of hiding or shrinking to fit in when we were growing up and through having that deeply witnessed in the Wildflower community garden it opened up the space to create more freedom for our inner adolescent self to express in a more conscious & aligned way.
In some way we all rebelled outside of the systems we had during adolescence to test our inner authority muscles seeing if we could trust & be true to ourselves. As we were learning to stand in our power we fell down a lot, breaking trust with ourselves to fit in or stay invisible. It was painful and it also gave us information to be able to choose & respond in a more aligned way.
There was immense gratitude for having a community where we can belong while being our whole selves embracing & embodying the awkwardness. Each of us was longing for a space to find true belonging, which Brene Brown defines as, "the spiritual practice of believing in and belonging to yourself so deeply that you can share your most authentic self with the world and find sacredness in both being a part of something and standing alone. It's about having the courage to be yourself, even when that means standing apart from the crowd, and not changing who you are to fit in." And through practicing true belonging in circle we are more able to belong to ourselves in other areas of our lives.
We embodied our adolescent self (approx 9-19 years old) that was awkward & insecure to allow the fire to transform it & ignite the inner wisdom to practice embracing the awkwardness in community. We threw sticks in the fire representing the parts of us that got stuck in development resisting the change & avoiding the responsibility, so we could reclaim & remember our wholeness.
So I wonder, What if the awkward & insecure parts of you have power to move you now? How might you lean into your inner adolescent self to navigate your life & the landscape of all that is changing in our world?
