Virgo Reflection: What if all that you do is sacred?

"Now is the time to know

That all that you do is sacred."

~Hafiz

What if the words we spoke and the ways we moved through the world were held in the knowing that all that we do is sacred?

I wonder what our world would be like if we each responded from the sacredness of our own being.

The Virgo New Moon gave us grounding support to remember that our lives are constantly being transformed by the tiniest choices we make.

Our everyday choices are reflections of what we value, what we are devoted to, and what is happening within us.

For me, last week I had this feeling of being annoyed by life.

It became my little check-engine light, inviting me to turn toward my daily choices and see what might need to shift.

Honestly, I felt like a toddler kicking and screaming, not wanting to give up the things that were distracting me and muting my sensitivities.

But I began to see that if I was going to add a new aligned practice into my life, I needed to be willing to give something up to create more space to simply BE.

Turns out, I wasn't really annoyed at life.

I was annoyed at myself for adding more doing to my plate without taking anything away.

And having those annoyed and flatter parts of me witnessed in circle helped me soften toward the parts of myself I don't always like to see.

Being witnessed allowed me to see them more clearly—and meet those outcast parts of myself with more grace and compassion.

Our bodies know more than we sometimes realize.

Our embodiment practice opened up so much awareness through our beings.

We realized how hard it can be to see clearly and move forward when we are looking down and behind ourselves.

And how dizzying it can be to walk through the spiral of life backwards.

How often are we looking down or looking back at the past, missing the presence and invitations that are right in front of us?

We reflected on what our daily lives might look like if we were already the wildflower available for what we desire.

Then we took seeds passed down from my grandma to my mom and spread them into the earth, asking the deeper parts of ourselves to arise—the parts that need to be reclaimed so we can become who we desire to be.

We also honored September 11 through ritual.

Because our circle fell on 9/11, I felt called to create a ritual that could weave our prayers and songs into collective liberation.

I gifted each Wildflower a bundle of sweetgrass—Mother Earth's hair—from the land.

Around the fire, we braided the sweetgrass as we prayed and sang into it, imagining how our ancestors might have gathered, prayed, braided, and carried their intentions together.

And then we experienced the power of silence.

There was something about the silence that touched something ancient in me.

“Silence is the poetics of space. What it means to be in a place. The whole topography of the surrounding landscape is revealed to me and the many layers of the echo I come towards me. And I think to myself I know exactly where I am. Silence is not the absence of something but the presence of everything. It is the presence of time, undisturbed. It can be felt within the chest.”  — Gordon Hempton

Silence is not the absence of something, but the presence of everything.

And I think our Wildflower souls felt that.

After circle, Wildflowers shared that their souls felt safe, fed, and nurtured.

Some woke the next morning feeling totally different—more relaxed, emotionally balanced, grounded, and good.

This is why I keep creating these spaces.

Not because we need another place to fix ourselves.

But because sometimes we need a place to slow down enough to hear ourselves again.

A place where we can be witnessed in our wholeness.

A place where the parts of us we have pushed away can come out of hiding.

A place where our bodies can soften.

A place where we can remember that we belong—to ourselves, to one another, to the land, and to something greater than ourselves.

Circle with us if your soul is calling for a place to slow down and be witnessed in all that you are navigating.
