When Grief Is Witnessed, Love Blooms Again - Beaver Full Moon Reflection

"Only what is held can flower.

Only what is contained can become something more than how it began."

~ Francis Weller

Together, we remembered that grief is not meant to be carried alone — it moves through us when we gather, breathe, and witness one another into wholeness.

Whether or not tears fell in circle, sisters felt something shift within. Grief has a way of rippling through the field, softening our hearts and opening space for what longs to be felt.

Marlowe & I were in awe of the bravery, tenderness, and fierce love each Wildflower brought — for showing up in truth, for holding space, for simply being.

In community, we remembered that love never leaves — it only changes form.

The fires & the nest held our grief in our sudden village, weaving the threads of our sorrow together as we sang and witnessed one another home.  Our collective heartstrings resonated around themes of (aligning with the Gates of Grief in The Wild Edge of Sorrow):

What we love, we will lose — through changing relationships or the ways we lose ourselves as they shift.

What we expected but did not receive — the ache of not having community when trauma came, or when our gifts went unseen, leading us to isolate to protect ourselves.

The sorrows of the world — the grief of witnessing global suffering and disconnection from the more-than-human world.

The parts of us that have not known love — the hidden or outcast aspects of self still longing to be seen, held, and welcomed home.

Grief of the unknown — losing comfort and certainty, even when they no longer served us.

It was profoundly healing having our grief witnessed & supported - for some, the first time ever.

To be held by song, by fire, by village.

To feel the anchor of love beneath the ache.

Journal Invitation:
What grief (or love) is asking to be witnessed right now?
How does your body want to honor or express it?

We’ll continue this sacred work in our New Moon in Scorpio Grief Circle next week — an invitation to be witnessed into your wholeness and allow all of you to be seen and heard.
