Reflection: Full Moon in Leo Circle Medicine

How might it be to feel your feet on the ground & let your breath greet your body as you come back here now?

The fiery energy of Leo burned away part of me as I listened & honored Mother Nature's winter weather advisory last week to postpone circle to the following night.  I gave myself permission to grieve the women that were not able to come, to open the space for the women that were now able to join.  In lieu of circle on Wednesday night, I invited the women to do something self-full & self-indulgent that would honor them, even if it's something small & notice the meaning they gave it.  Maybe you want to experiment with this invitation too. I'd love to hear what meaning you gave it, just reply to this email.

We practiced radical self-care together through opening by saging ourselves as we sang & invited Kali to take away our fear to be filled with her grace & allowed her to burn away all that no longer served us.  We reflected on the masks we wear, how we conform or shrink down to burn away the armor that protects what is soft & messy inside to embrace our whole selves.

Our masks all carried similar roots of I've got this, it's no big deal & I can do it all, I'm a badass or I'm fine - showing the world that we can do it all with a smile on, as we sacrificed our needs & were crumbling inside.

Then we nurtured these parts by enlivening all of our senses in the rest of the ritual to allow the generous love of roses to touch & move us.  We saw how we are like the roses we were experiencing. We were closed up like a bud when we were young & still finding our way outside of the conditioning from the world & our family. And as we got older the petals of the rose that we are, opened up to blossom into who we are now.  Did you know that the rose always remains in its perfect form, even when it dries out? Which is symbolic of us too.  Are we willing to honor our being in whatever season of life we are in or storm we are facing?
